Fifa Manager 10 - Trickspeed's Log
This thread is basically me detailing my Fifa Manager 10 save game with Rotherham, and updating this possibly each day with results transfers etc.
Log 1:
First day on the job, and my team is expected to come second, behind NOTTS COUNTY! The team I hate most. That should make it interesting. So after reviewing all my budgets, I noticed my transfer budget is incredibly low. But I need a new striker. So I created a Player-Manager. at a 57, he may have only an average rating for my team, but I'm hoping he can lead us to success. My highest rated player is Adam Le Fondre at a 65 (goes up to 99 btw) so I really do need new players. My weakest area is at LB, having just a 51 as a starter. So in comes my first (and most likely only) transfer of the window - 64 rated LB Garry. As my team's second best player he should do nicely. Then I send the team off to Turkey for 14 days. While they are gone I mess around with the stadium editor to make the stadium how I want it (Only environment and pitch settings, others cost money) and try to build some more facilities. You have a choice of over 200/300/400, idk, I can't count, but I can't even afford one of them
When the team get back I notice something that will seriously harm my chances this season. I had one staff member. One Assistant manager. That was it. When I tried to sign any-more, it only let me sign 2 MORE ASSISTANT MANAGERS! RAGE! Now I have 3 coaches and nothing else.. yay. Even though energy levels are so low I have to do no training 90% of the time. Sigh.
After that I decided to chance loaning some unheard of reserves from championship teams. Without a scout it was purely guess work. And 4 are total rubbish. 1, Lund, will play for me at RW as he is a slight improvement over the others.
So that leads us on to the first league game, a match at home to Accrington Stanley, the weakest team in the league. Playing a 4-2-4, we were all over them. Their keeper stopped us time and time again before we could finally net from Adam Le Fondre, side footing it home from the edge of the box. More scrappy passing, more fantastic keeping. Player manager Jamie Sewell was having a nightmare, just running into the Accrington Stanley keeper time and time again. Finally, in the last minute, we were able to score a scrappy goal (I don't remember who- Sorry!) 3 Points in our first game. Not bad.
Lot more boring stuff before our next game, away at Bournemouth. A LOT harder. Sticking with the same lineup, we demolished them. 3-0 up in 18 minutes, due to a fine chip shot from Player-Manager Sewell, a goal from (don't remember again :/) and Another Chip from Sewell being saved, but Sewell netting the rebound. After that the team relaxed due to fitness levels, but kept the clean sheet - 3-0. Job done.
Not going to detail this game because this post is far too long, but we lost 4-1 away at Grimsby who were one place below us. The poor energy of the team showed as we couldn't build a single attack for 65 minutes. We deserved to lose.
Still no more news that's not match related, so onto our first cup game, a league cup match vs Stockport County. I really didn't care what the result was, because the league cup is just a bother and a place to waste energy, but a good cup run would scrape together some much needed cash. 11 minutes in, Sewell netted with another chip shot, from the edge of the box. 2 Minutes later Sewell hit the post only for Lund to follow up and net the rebound. 2-0. That's how it stayed.
End of the log.. for now.

Re: Fifa Manager 10 - Trickspeed's Log
I played like 20 games or so without an update, so I'll do a screenie of the league table and post it here to save time. Also in the middle of a project of mine for Fifa Manager, I hope to have it out in a couple days max.

Re: Fifa Manager 10 - Trickspeed's Log
Well I suddenly got bored of Fifa Manager and doubt I will play it again for ages, so I had to publish my surprise. It was supposed to be a lot longer, but oh well.
I'll put the link in when it's uploaded.

The goals aren't good, the music is too short, but youtube has wasted enough of my time.
